Whether you’re new to AH Training or returning for another season, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about our programs below. If you don’t see your question, feel free to contact us.
How do I know which program is right for my athlete?
Programs are organized by age and skill level. If you’re unsure which option is best, contact AH Training and we’ll help place your athlete in the most appropriate group.
What level of athletes are AH Training programs designed for?
AH Training works with athletes ranging from beginners to AAA, Junior, and elite-level hockey players. Programs are designed to meet athletes where they are while helping them develop strong skating habits and confidence.
Do athletes use pucks during skating sessions?
No, most AH Training sessions focus exclusively on skating development. Pucks are only incorporated during Shoot-to-Score programs and Conditioning Camps.
My athlete is between age groups. Which program should they register for?
Athletes near age-group boundaries may be placed in the group that best matches their skating ability, maturity, and development needs. Contact us for guidance before registering.
Do you offer team development sessions?
Yes. AH Training offers customized team skating sessions for minor hockey teams and associations. Sessions are tailored to the needs of the team and may focus on skating mechanics, edge control, acceleration, speed, agility, and overall skating efficiency.
Do you offer private lessons or small-group training?
Yes. Private and small-group training opportunities may be available throughout the year. Contact AH Training for availability and scheduling options.
What equipment is required?
Athletes are required to wear full hockey equipment, including a stick and neck guard.
How do session credits work?
Athletes who are unable to attend a session may receive a credit toward a future AH Training Edge/Speed session by providing at least 72 hours notice via email. Credits are not available for team sessions, private lessons, camps, special events, or missed sessions with less than 72 hours notice. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
What happens if a session is cancelled?
If AH Training cancels a session due to facility issues or unforeseen circumstances, a credit will be applied to the athlete’s account for future use.
How can I contact AH Training?
